Exclusive 45c Solar Feed-In-Tariff Offer For QLD Residents!
Goodbye, Power Bills… Hello, Savings!
That’s the promise for thousands of Queensland homeowners who invest in a solar battery system and sign up to a virtual power plant (VPP). Read on to discover how you can do the same by taking advantage of the highest Solar Feed-In-Tariff in Australia – at 45c/kWh.
Let’s be honest – if you’re like most homeowners, the idea of using less power from the grid and reducing your energy bills is very appealing.
Luckily, with solar energy, it’s also not a pipe dream.
With the right solar panel system, you can generate all the electricity you need during the sun-filled daylight hours. Then, when it’s time to kick back at night and watch Netflix (if the kids haven’t stolen the remote), your solar batteries distribute the energy that was stored throughout the day into your house.
What about the energy generated by your panels that you don’t use?
Our partnership with Discover Energy allows you to take that excess power and send it back to Queensland’s primary grid, in return for the industry’s highest credit rates. Forget just slashing your bills – here’s how you pay off your solar unit and start driving ROI!
How to Use Your Excess Energy to Lower Your Bills and Pay off Your Entire Solar System
So your home has generated more solar power than it needs… now what?
With a solar system installed by Nationwide Solar Solutions, your excess electricity is exported back to the main’s power grid – you’re compensated in the form of a Solar Feed-In-Tariff (FiT), which is paid as a credit on your power bills.
…and if the idea of seeing your power bill come down sounds good to you, you’re not alone!
Electricity prices in Australia have been rising year-on-year (and placing financial pressure on everyday Queenslanders). Across the previous 10 years, electricity costs have risen by 54% – with a further 3% rise expected in the next 12 months.
If you’re ready to say goodbye to eye-watering bills and join the thousands of Queenslanders who can afford to leave home and forget to turn the lights off without having a panic attack… read on to discover how you can take advantage of the highest feed-in-tariff offer in Australia.
Wait, so I can get money back from my solar provider?
It’s natural to be hesitant at the offer of lower power bills and more money in your pocket – it almost sounds too good to be true! Yet, solar energy can be incredibly cost-effective – especially in Queensland, which enjoys roughly 2,792 hours of sunshine each year. Each and every one of those solar rays represents value!
As a reward for helping export clean, renewable, solar energy back into Queensland’s power grids, you become eligible for credits, or tariffs.
The amount you are credited is a set rate per kilowatt-hour for unused solar electricity. Once your home is adequately powered and your solar battery fully charged, you’ll be handing extra power back – and being paid for it.
This is known as your ‘buyback rate’, and it’s how you pay off a new solar battery system. Simply soak up Queensland’s (many) sun-filled days!
The better your retailer’s Solar Feed-In-Tariff, the faster your ‘buyback rate’.
Solar Feed-in-Tariffs Explained
Most power companies are about as transparent as a piece of cardboard… so here’s a quick recap of the key terms and technologies.
A solar feed-in-tariff is the rate you’re paid for putting electricity back in the nation’s grid.
As a household, you’re able to generate power through your solar system, with qualified systems feeding unused energy back into the electrical grid for other homes and businesses to use.
Sharing is caring – and for helping to ‘keep the lights on’, you’re entitled to a small rebate on your bill for every kilowatt-hour (kWh) you export.
For example, if your Queensland home produces 20 kWh of electricity on a hot, sunny day, but you only consume 12 kWh of electricity watching your favourite Netflix shows and running your home, the remaining 8 kWh will be exported to the grid.
In return, you’ll receive a Solar Feed-In-Tariff.
Solar Feed-In-Tariffs can help you make significant savings, and an overall reduction to your concurrent household expenses – helping you to slash your power bill and keep more money in your pocket over the long run.
How Much is the Solar Feed-in-Tariff in Queensland?
Before we cover the range of Solar FiT rates available, we need to cover a little bit of history.
As of 2021, over 600,000 homes are fitted with solar panels – roughly 30% of all Queensland homes. However, the ‘Sunshine State’ wasn’t always leading the charge. In order to get the ball rolling on solar installations, the Queensland State Government set its own rates for the Solar Feed-In-Tariff, starting at 44c per kilowatt-hour.
As Queensland’s state-run schemes don’t impose any mandated rate for excess electricity exported to the grid, the regulated rate dropped…significantly.
To fill the gap, electricity providers have the freedom to set their own solar feed-in-tariff rates. The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) provides the benchmark to guide retailers, with most rates between 6c/kWh and 30c/kWh.
Most…but not all.
Nationwide Solar Solutions is proud to offer the HIGHEST Solar Feed-In-Tariff rate in Australia – supporting Queenslanders towards more energy efficient and cost-effective homes.
We have partnered with Discover Energy to provide solar battery customers with 45 cents per kWh.
The result? Shorter ‘buyback’ periods and higher ROI on your solar system.

Who is Discover Energy?
It’s easy to see our market-leading 45c/kWh Solar Feed-In-Tariff offer and wonder how we can offer rates significantly higher than Origin (14c/kWh) and AGL (15c/kWh).
This cost-cutting advantage is all possible thanks to our partnership with Discover Energy – our tech-driven energy partner, working to advance the sustainable energy revolution by converting your home’s power into a Virtual Power Plant, or VPP.
Instead of exporting excess energy back to the grid when it exceeds your home’s energy needs, your excess solar power is sold back to the grid when it’s most beneficial to YOU.
Through smart solar battery management and energy trading, your excess power is sold when the grid needs it most – giving you stronger purchasing power, and Australia’s highest Solar FiT rates.
What is a Virtual Power Plant?
A Virtual Power Plant, or VPP, combines the solar-generated electricity from multiple Queensland homes into a single power source. This power source is controlled remotely by your VPP provider, acting as a ‘mini’ power station that returns solar energy to the grid.
With a VPP, your power hasn’t been sent back to the grid at random. Discover Energy’s proprietary software acts as a smart energy trader, waiting for the grid to experience a ‘surge event’ before returning excess power – for example, on the hottest Queensland summer days, when household A/Cs are working overtime… or during State of Origin, when we’re belting NSW – and every home in the state is consuming power.
By waiting for peak grid events, you can enjoy:
- Discounted electricity rates and cheaper power bills
- Highest solar feed-in-tariff in Australia
- Profit sharing during peak energy usage times
- Shorter ‘buyback’ period to pay off your solar system
Using this smart approach to solar tariffs, you can sell your power back to the grid for a premium and enjoy a return between $1,500 and $3,000 per year.
All because you live in the beautiful Sunshine State!
